WATCH: Johnny Depp Plays Vampire for Laughs in Dark Shadows Official Trailer

Johnny Depp stars as vampire Barnabas Collins in Dark Shadows, the Tim Burton movie based on the 1960s TV series of the same name.

But this is NOT your typical gothic adaptation.

As a centuries-old bloodsucker freed in the year 1972, Depp’s character is played for laughs, giving the material a very different feel.

Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Moretz and Helena Bonham Carter also star.

Russell Brand Arrested For Felony in New Orleans for Cell Phone Attack

Russell Brand has been arrested on a felony charge after wrestling away a paparazzo’s cell phone and throwing it through a nearby window on Monday, Gossip Cop has confirmed with the New Orleans Police.

The comedian, who turned himself in, was booked on Thursday afternoon and released shortly after, says the Sheriff’s Office.

Earlier Thursday, an arrest warrant had been issued for Brand, who’s been charged with “simple criminal damage” in the amount of $700.

Property damage in Louisiana that exceeds $500 is considered a felony.

Brand is currently in New Orleans to film a movie.

In 2010, he tangled with a paparazzo at LAX airport after the photographer attempted to shoot up his then-fiancee Katy Perry’s skirt.

George Clooney Arrested for Sudan Protest

George Clooney was arrested on Friday during a protest in front of Sudan’s embassy in Washington, D.C.

The actor, along with other activists including his father Nick and Martin Luther King III, had gathered in front of the building to demand action against Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir, whom they accuse of triggering a humanitarian crisis.

Law enforcement warned protesters three times not to remain on the wrong side of a police line outside the embassy.

When they refused to budge, Clooney and the others were cuffed and taken into custody.

Beforehand, Clooney spoke with reporters about the violence plaguing the region and the Sudanese government’s blockage of food and aid from entering the country.

WATCH: Controversial President Obama Movie Narrated by Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks narrates the just-released, controversial 17-minute “The Road We’ve Traveled” campaign ad/documentary for President Obama.

VIDEO BELOW

The film looks at Obama’s first term, with special focus on the economic meltdown America faced at the time of his inauguration, as well as health care reform and the killing of Osama bin Laden.

But it’s drawn significant criticism from many observers on both the right and left for being less than balanced in its portrayal of Obama’s achievements.

Davis Guggenheim, the man behind Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” and Obama’s own biographical film during the 2008 presidential campaign, directed “The Road We’ve Traveled.”

Rihanna Explains Why She Worked With Chris Brown Again ["He's the Hottest R&B Artist Out Right Now..."] – Audio Inside

TMZ reports:

Screw the brutal, face-smashing beating in 2009 … Chris Brown is the HOTTEST R&B artist out right now — which is why Rihanna says she reached out to CB to collaborate on two new songs.

Rihanna called Ryan Seacrest this morning on KIIS FM, explaining her choice to record two duets with the man who brutalized her three years ago — “I reached out to him about doing ‘Birthday Cake’ because that’s the only person that really — it made sense to do the record. Just as a musician — despite everything else — that was going to be the person.”

She said, “I thought about rappers, and I’ve done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown. So I wanted him on the track.”
